WHAT WE DO
WE GATHER TOGETHER
Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.
-Hebrews 10:23-25
We believe that as the author of Hebrews says, it is important for us all to gather together. Every Sunday we gather together as one group to worship Jesus, to hear a teaching from the Bible, and to pray together. When we do this, our faith in Jesus is strengthened. Our Gatherings are a place where people from all backgrounds and walks of life can find find the Light of the world, and learn how to be a light in this world.
WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
-Acts 2:42
We believe that fellowship is vital to the health of every Christ follower. When the Church of Jesus Christ first began in the book of Acts, they met in each other’s homes for a meal together, communion, and prayer. As a church, we desire to follow their example of fellowship. We have groups, create events, and have prayer meetings to help each of us further grow in our relationships and in our faith.
WE SERVE TOGETHER
... just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” -Matthew 20:28
For you were called to be free, brothers and sisters; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. -Galatians 5:13
We believe that we are called to follow the example of Jesus and to serve one another through love. God has gifted each of His followers with talents and abilities to bring Him glory and to build one another up. We do this through our Serve Team, local outreach opportunities, and missions. Through being a light in this world, we are leading people to the Light of the world.
