Storm Rider

A storm is coming. Dark clouds are gathering on the horizon, and we feel the change in the air. The message this Sunday is titled “Storm Rider.” For most people, storms are a little scary, but they are necessary. Storms move things and cleanse the air, they can be terrifying as lightning strikes and the wind howls, but when they are over, there is freshness and hope for a new day. We often think of a storm in a negative sense, but God is in the storm. We love His presence in worship, but His presence is also in the storm, powerful and booming, threatening and, at the same time calming in the distant thunder.
