In this Memorial Day message I go through the meaning and the contents of the Constitution of the United States.  Within the seven articles and 27 amendments we find the foundational tenets of American Government.  Although it is the highest law of this land few Americans know what is contained within this important document. From the articles, the first 12 amendments, the Bill of Rights, and the remaining amendments,we find that God has given us a way to preserve the basic freedoms of a free people.

The reason that knowing the contents of the Constitution is so important is that it is under attack today.  There are those who would see this time tested document as old and in need of replacement.  Today those that lead us are making it up as they go rather than following with integrity those who have come before us and shed blood to establish and persevere the freedoms we enjoy. We were promised change, and change is what we got. Never have our leaders placed this country in as much peril as we see today.  May we as Christians and free men do more than just watch our freedoms erode without a whimper. May we pray that God has mercy on us and raises up Godly leaders who know and love God more than they love their own reflection in a mirror.
