Is there a dress code at Christ Community Church?
One of the things that you will notice about Christ Community Church is our focus on worshiping
and serving God and not how a person is dressed. Most people that attend on Sunday morning
dress very casually. The pastor does not wear a tie and there is never a requirement about how
anyone needs to dress to attend a service. The only thing we ask is that clothing is reasonably
modest in the sense that it is not too revealing.
What style of worship should I expect?
We enjoy a very contemporary form of worship. We use drums, guitars, brass, and two
keyboards.
Most of the songs are contemporary worship songs, but we also value the hymns and traditions of the past. Our worship pastor Norm Hansen incorporates the older hymns into the
service with an upbeat high energy flavor. -
People are very enthusiastic about worship at CCC. Some raise their hands to God and are very
vocal about their love for God, others quietly worship Him from within their hearts.
We encourage people to worship God in a way that is natural to them. We realize that people come from a variety of backgrounds and want them all to feel free to worship in a way that is unique to them. -back to top-
What happens in the worship service?
Our services include times of singing and worshiping God, announcements, preaching from the bible, and prayer times for those who are in need. Visitors are never put on the spot or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. They are considered valued guests and we want them to feel free to enjoy the service and feel the presence of God.
An offering for the support of the church in received at the beginning of the service, but visitors are not expected to participate in giving. The responsibility of financial support of the church falls on those who regularly attend. -back to top-
Will I be asked to give money to the church?
We are very aware that in the last few years ministries television ministries have place a strong emphasis on sending in donations. It has gotten to the point where some people think that the primary emphasis of the church is to raise money and to make people feel uncomfortable if they do not give.
While we do receive an offering for the support of the church in our services, we do everything we can to avoid becoming a church that pressures folks to give. -back to top-
Is there something for my kids on Sunday morning?
We have kid's church at the 8:45 service and the 10:45 service. During this time the kids sing songs hear a lesson from the bible and play some games. Our children's pastor Cheryl Rissler and
her dedicated team of children's ministry worker provide a loving and safe environment for the kids
to
learn about God and learn practical life lessons. We believe that children are very close to the
heart of God and we value them as treasures given into our care.

How long does the service usually last?
Services are designed to last about 90 minutes. We do our best to work within that time frame, but also believe that there are times when God is doing something important in the lives of the people present, and to cut this short would dishonor God and keep people from receiving from the Lord. If the service does run a little long we usually tell folks if they need to leave it is Ok, but we will continue until God is done ministering to people. -back to top-
How would you describe the kind of church you are?
Christ Community Church is a non-denominational church which simply means we don't belong to an organization that mandates how we function. We are a body of believers that come from various backgrounds and doctrinal beliefs. While we are not what might be described as a "Pentecostal Church" we do believe that God actively works amongst His people by doing miracles, giving guidance, and enduing with Spiritual gifts.
We believe the bible truly is God's word and that it is our rule of faith. We do not pick and choose what portion of the scripture we believe, we believe it all. -back to top-
Do you have meetings during the week?
Yes, we meet on Wednesday nights at 7 pm for a prayer meeting. We believe that this is the most important meeting of the week because our dependence is upon
what God does in our midst, not
our own plans and programs.
During the time of prayer the children meet in the kids wing of the church.
We also have several home groups that meet on different days and times throughout the week.
The youth, men's ministries, women's ministries, and others meet at various times throughout the month
as well. -back to top-
