What to Expect at Christ Community Church

It can be difficult visiting a new church. Meeting
new people and being unfamiliar with the structure
of the worship service can sometimes be uncomfortable.
On this page we want to give
you a good idea of what
to expect on your first
visit to Christ Community Church.
As you enter the church you will notice lots of
activity. Because we have two services, one
at 8:45 and the
other at 10:45, some people will
be moving into the sanctuary to begin the worship
service, while others
may be making their way to
the fellowship hall for
coffee and donuts. As you
enter the sanctuary you
will be greeted by a
member of our welcome team
and handed a church
bulletin.
Announcements for the upcoming week will be
displayed on the video screen at the
front of the sanctuary. The service begins with our worship team leading the
congregation in a song.
One of our elders will walk to the front and share the announcements for the week,
then ask the
people to take a few minutes and greet one another. After our greeting
time, we read a scripture together and give members of the church an opportunity to
support the work of the church with
financial offerings
Then our worship team begins a set of 4 or 5 worship songs lead by our worship pastor.
At the
close of the worship time our pastor shares a teaching from the Bible that last
30 - 40 minutes.
At the end of the teaching there is usually time for people to receive
prayer for their needs.
The congregation is dismissed with prayer at the close of the service. Usually people
stay and visit either in the sanctuary or they move to the fellowship hall for donuts and
coffee.
The length of the service is approximately 90 minutes but can sometimes last a little longer.
